I want to share my experience with food allergy. I’m allergic to shrimp. I noticed this when I ate shrimp at a family dinner. At first , everything felt normal, but after a few minutes my mouth started to feel itchy. Then my lips a little swollen, and my throat felt uncomfortable. I did not understand what was happening, so I told my mom right away. She became worried . So she told to our family, they also worried and told me to not to eat any more. After some time my symptoms slowly went away, but it was still scary.
After that day I learned that shrimp allergies can be serious. Even a small amount can cause a reaction. Now I’m very careful about what I eat. When I go to restaurants, I always ask if the food contains shrimp or shellfish. I also read food labels when I buy snacks or frozen foods. Sometimes I feel nervous eating at parties, but I try to choose safe foods.
This experience taught me to be so responsible for my health. It also helped me understand that food allergies are important and should not be ignored. I now speak and ask questions before eating. Being careful helps me stay safe and avoid allergic reactions.
