Peanuts

I am allergic to peanuts. In the month of December, I went to visit my friend Aavar’s place in Pennsylvania with my family. We were having fun and were chatting. There was a snack lying on the dining table. Aavar ate some so I also ate a piece. I forgot to read the label before putting the piece in my mouth. In a few seconds, I felt a little pain and tightening in my chest, but I just shrugged it off. After a few minutes, my heart rate was skyrocketing. At that moment, my vision was blurry and I was very dizzy. I felt so weak and couldn’t move and was having a hard time breathing as my throat started seizing up. My own body was pretty much choking me, and I started to throw up. As I was throwing up, my chest was feeling so heavy and tight. Every time I threw up, my throat was just hurting so much. It felt like I was swallowing too much water at once through my throat. This uneasiness and pain lasted for about 5-7 minutes, but it felt like an eternity. My parents were concerned and my friend Aavar prepared warm ginger honey water to soothe my throat. I vomited for the second time. From that moment on, I felt better but still had a high heart rate and blurry vision. My mom and dad and Aavar’s mom were trying to soothe me and were about to take me to emergency but gradually I started feeling better after taking allergy medication. It was late at night but to feel better I went for a short walk with Aavar. The first time I had allergic reaction was about 2 years ago and it wasn’t this serious. I felt nauseous and threw up a little bit but that is nothing compared to what happened that night in Pennsylvania.
