Mangoes

I love mangoes, and I developed this allergy to mangos when I was 7 years old. My condition is contact dermatitis, which means any time mangoes or mango juice come into contact with my skin, I swell up and develop irritation or discomfort. While I'm allergic to mangos, or more so allergic to mango touching my skin, I still eat it. I've found new and improved solutions over the years to avoiding an allergic reaction. For example, I used to eat mango with my mouth stretched as wide as possible, and using a fork so the mango would not touch my lips. My new and improved solutions to eating mangos are, covering them fully in chocolate and enjoying them hands on, or making delicious smoothies with them. Even if while doing this, my skin gets all covered in chocolate, or I get a brain-freeze from eating ice-cold smoothies, these methods solve the problem of my skin touching mangos, and I never develop irritation or discomfort in any parts of my skin. While my allergy does not fully prevent me from eating this food, due to the low severity of it, I still have to take extra precautions to make sure I do not trigger an unusually high allergic reaction and end up needing medication.
